INFO: Created in 1982 by Adrien Uijttewaal, and now with his daughter Elise having joined in 2017, they own both Chateau Saint-Hilaire and Chateau Gemeillan. Their focus is on protecting the environment and being sustainable, and this also applies to the cows they breed for beef as well! Legendary wine consultant, Jacques Boissenot contributed to the project up until his passing in 2014. Having lent more than a hand in the cellars of four of the five First Growths; Mouton, Lafite, Latour, Margaux, his pedigree is not bad, and Château Gemeillan benefits dramatically
This is a serious Bordeaux, classic cherry, tobacco and cedar profile and drinking well now. An absolute steal at this price
